Studio Protocols.

**I do NOT grant class access if you teach or plan to teach barre at any other business on southern Vancouver Island. This is to protect barreMADE’s intellectual property, as barre is dance based and we create our own choreography and sequences . Thank you for understanding.

Keeping You Safe in Preparation for Class

  •  Following Island Health Guidelines, we provide a paperless, online check-in for participants to sign up for classes. You can register for classes online through our website or through the Mindbody App. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance, if needed. Please be kind to others and give 6-hour notice if you are unable to attend class.

  • Participants must complete an online waiver before coming to class stating they have not been diagnosed with Covid-19 and do not have any symptoms.

  • We strongly suggest monitoring your health and staying home if you have any Covid-19 symptoms such as cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or fever in the last 48 hours, or have knowingly come in contact with someone who has Covid-19.

  • If you cannot make it to a class that you have signed up for, please cancel online at least SIX hours prior to the class start time.

Keeping You Safe Upon Arrival

  • Participants will be allowed to check in for a class only 15 min prior to the class start time.

  • A Health Canada approved hand sanitizer station is at the front door and can be used upon entering the building.

  • Staff wipe down all high touch points, such as light switches, door handles, phone, and front desk.

  • We use disinfectants that have been reviewed and confirmed to be effective against SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19).

  • Change-rooms are available for use.

 Keeping You Safe During Class

  • We have a brand new H Vac system to ensure proper ventilation and air flow in the studio.

  • The class capacity has been reduced to 17 participants per class (with an instructor as an additional 18th person).

  • The equipment is disinfected with Health Canada approved products before and after each use.

  • There is extra time between classes to allow for proper sanitizing and disinfecting of equipment and common areas.

  • Throughout the space, hand sanitizing stations will be available and participants are encouraged to utilize them before and after class.

  • There is a water cooler available for use. Please do not touch any part of your water bottle to any part of the water cooler. We also have bottled water for purchase. We encourage everyone to bring their own filled water bottles.

  • Staff cleaning protocols are in place for all common areas and surfaces, including washrooms, equipment, tools, common tables, front desk, light switches, door handles.

  • Cubbies are available and are disinfected periodically throughout the day.

  • Staff will not be allowed on the premises if they have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or have any symptoms.

BarreMADE will continue to follow any provincial, Island Health, and WorksafeBC protocols that may change throughout the pandemic. With your support, we look forward to developing a strong barreMADE community that supports all dimensions of health!
